Color me skeptical on this one. While there is a sizable Islamic population in the region, this seems like a desperate publicity stunt by ISIS supporters trying to pretend that they represent something more. Though one act of terrorism will change that very quickly.

The obvious reason for the emergence of a Jihadist group threatening Brazil is Rio 2016. Brazil, otherwise, has little or no relation to any ISIS objectives, though Islamic terrorists will kill any non-Muslims who refuse to submit to the rule of Islamic law. But Rio will have enough of an international presence to make it a major temptation for ISIS. Especially after the attacks in Orlando and Nice. And this has the flavor of a local operation and as we have seen one or two attackers can still inflict a great deal of damage.Pro-#ISIS"Ansar al-Khilafah #Brazil": If French police couldn't stop France attacks, then their training Brazil's police will serve no use.
