Few on the left are willing to admit that their rhetoric about police plays directly into the murder of police officers. Some come closer to it than others. And some outright justify the murder of police officers.
Like ThinkProgress editor Zack Ford
"Given how police haven't been held accountable for murdering black people," he said, "it's no surprise some are taking justice into their own hands."
Ford followed that up with the usual "I abhor violence but..." justifications. Which is another way of saying that he supports the cause, but not the tactics. And that same thing is true of much of the left.
That was followed by, "A lot of people think I support murder now. It's an easy way to avoid acknowledging the systemic injustices that perpetuate these murders."
If you noticed that I justified the murder of police officers, it's because you don't want to admit how racist police officers are.
To connect the dots, ThinkProgress is a Center for American Progress outfit which is the most influential think tank on Obama Inc.
