Ruth Bader Gingsburg finally apologized for her embarrassing display in which she acted like a Democratic attack dog. Even Democrats knew it was a bad idea and asked her to stop vocally attacking Trump.
But the question is why did she behave in such a ridiculous way in the first place? The answer lies in the fact that lefties have been stroking her ego for far too long with nonsense like Notorious RBG which has backfired badly, first by convincing her that she should remain in office until the very last minute, instead of stepping down so that Obama could have appointed a fresh justice.
And then it convinced her that she should undermine her position by barking at Trump as if that were her job instead of providing legitimacy for left-wing judicial activism.
This was badly considered. Her apology raises more questions than it answers
“On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them," she said in a statement. "Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect.”
Did it really take reflection for her to figure that out? It shouldn't have. But Gingsburg's ego had gotten so out of control that she actually thought that her behavior was a good idea.
