Turkey's unstable Islamist thug made his deal with Israel only out of need. Erdogan is making it clear once again that Turkey is aligned against Israel and for its Islamic terrorist allies.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday stressed that he consulted with Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leaders Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh before signing the reconciliation agreement with Israel.
Speaking at a post-Ramadan iftar dinner in Istanbul and quoted by theDaily Sabah newspaper, Erdogan said, “Our main concern is Gazans and we made our consultations with Khaled Mashaal, Mahmoud Abbbas and Ismail Haniyeh while making the deal with Israel.”
Of course he did, because nothing has changed. Erdogan still views Israel as the enemy and wants to use Hamas to harm Israel and to wedge Turkish influence into Israel. This is the core reality and will be until Erdogan and the AKP Islamists are removed from power. Expecting anything else was just as futile as expecting goodwill from Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
