If the Democrat thing doesn't work out, maybe Bernie Sanders can always go as a Republican. He's certainly doing his part for the GOP.
Sanders says he won't concede to rival Hillary Clinton even if she takes California on Tuesday.
Of course he won't.
At this rate, I halfway expect him to refuse to concede once Hillary becomes the official nominee. And his supporters have only been growing more unhinged. Few of them seem to be capable of cutting their losses. The Sanders campaign has devolved into a cult of personality around an absurd personality. Like Obama, Sanders now embodies the promise of some sort of golden age.
Even begging from Obama, the last Socialist messiah, won't do it.
President Obama called Sen. Bernie Sanders Sunday afternoon, according to a source familiar with the conversation, reports CBS News' Julianna Goldman.
While the source didn't characterize the conversation, Sanders spokesman told CBS News' Kylie Atwood that the two have spoken on multiple occasions.
I'm sure it was one of those friendly chats that they usually have. "Hi, how are you. Drop out already."
But Bernie, in true Socialist fashion, will go on defying reality.
Hillary Clinton has obtained enough delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination for president, ABC News estimates based on new superdelegate counts from the Associated Press.
"It is unfortunate that the media, in a rush to judgment, are ignoring the Democratic National Committee’s clear statement that it is wrong to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote at the convention this summer," the Sanders camp said in a statement.
"Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then."
Except Hillary is building her lead while Bernie is running his mouth.
