Starbucks Turns to Racist Ex-AG Holder to Fight Racism

This is a depressingly familiar story.

A major corporation gets targeted by a racist lynch mob. It turns to its political allies to pay off the lynch mob. Jesse Jackson turned that into a very successful business model. Then there was Al Sharpton.

But Eric Holder, the disgraced attorney general whose reign of racist political terror cost the lives of many people both black and white from Ferguson to Baltimore, is Starbucks' racial port of call.

After the baseless accusations of racism aimed at the coffee chain, Starbucks will close its stores for a day and subject its employees (euphemistically named 'partners') to unconscious bias training.

It's not clear if this will involve racist concepts such as white privilege.

But it is clear that Eric Holder is the last person who should be providing guidance on racial biases. We are talking about a divisive political figure who called Americans a "nation of cowards", who appeared with hate groups, such as Sharpton's National Action Network, who gave a pass to racist voter intimidation by the NBBP and whose racist policies destroyed communities.

We don't know if there was any racial bias behind a Starbucks manager asking two men to buy some coffee or leave. But we do know that Holder's views on race are toxic and divisive.

By getting into bed with Holder, Starbucks is sending a message of racial division.
