2. A modern art installation symbolizing the decline of Western Civilization

I wrote about this particular statue assault campaign last summer. Now the left, as usual, has gotten its way.
You don’t have to be a politician or soldier for your Central Park statue to be controversial. Dr. J Marion Sims, the father of modern gynecology, was targeted by black nationalist protesters for operating on slave women without anesthesia. Never mind that anesthesia wasn’t widely used at the time. To the medical profession, Dr. Sims is a hero. To the black nationalist leftists, he’s a villain.
And now the Sims statue has been moved to a cemetery. The latest 'unpersoning' in the left's cultural revolution against American history. It's already inspired such social justice crybully thinkpieces as, "The racist roots of gynecology." (If black nationalists and leftists want to remain true to their beliefs, they should never visit a gynecologist.)
But if we're going to go this route, I propose renaming the David Dinkins Municipal Building to the Yankel Rosenbaum Municipal Building.
