Opposition Research: Feds Sought Access Hollywood Tape Info in Trump Lawyer Raid

Between the Steele dossier, and a raid on Trump's lawyer in pursuit of Stormy Daniels and Access Hollywood tape info, the FBI really is in the opposition research business.

The F.B.I. agents who raided the office and hotel of President Trump’s lawyer on Monday were seeking all records related to the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Mr. Trump was heard making vulgar comments about women, according to three people who have been briefed on the contents of a federal search warrant.

That sounds very relevant to Russian collusion.

The FBI backed and then exploited the Steele dossier, created as opposition research by the Clinton campaign, and is apparently hunting for information on politically damaging, but not illegal things that Trump said or did.

What exactly is the distinction between the FBI and the DNC at this point? The only difference is that when the DNC breaks into someone's office, it's illegal. But when political operatives in the DOJ and FBI do it, it's technically legal.

And, if any of that information leaks to the Washington Post and the New York Times, as it usually does, the DNC can just shut down and outsource all its work to the media, the DOJ and FBI, and its dark money donors.

They're much better at this anyway.
