Heroic hero of the people, Bernie Sanders, interrupted his donor-funded 1 percenter lifestyle, to announce that he might be willing to sell out to Hillary after he's milked every last gullible left-wing donor for every last 27 bucks.

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Friday left the door open to being Hillary Clinton's running mate if she were to offer him the position after the party's convention this summer.

"Right now, we are focused on the next five weeks of winning the Democratic nomination. If that does not happen, we are going to fight as hard as we can on the floor of the Democratic convention to make sure that we have a progressive platform that the American people will support," Sanders said during an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer broadcast on "The Situation Room."

"Then, after that, certainly Secretary Clinton and I can sit down and talk and see where we go from there."

Asked if Sanders would drop out of the race if he were offered the VP slot now, the independent Vermont senator responded, "I think that that is a hypothetical that will not happen."

Go where exactly?

Bernie Sanders is 74 years old. He has no shot at a natural succession for Hillary. At the end of two Hillary terms, he would be in his eighties. If he were to get the V.P. slot, it would not be because he has any serious hope of implementing whatever policies he currently claims to be for by becoming president. Nor could he remotely expect any influence in a Hillary White House.

So he would be becoming V.P. to be V.P. To have the position and the lifestyle that comes with it. To get the $60K pay raise and all the travel perks (no more flying coach) and the rest of the good life. Not to mention all the nepotism and family favors that he became known for long before this back in Vermont.

This ought to be a wake up call to any Sanders supporters that this isn't really about ideology. Ideologically, Sanders would have zero impact as V.P. It's about him. It's always been about him.

Bernie is not out for the working class or any class. He's out for Bernie.
