DAG Rod Rosenstein: Russian Interference Didn't Affect Election Outcome

In a shocking turn of events, Mueller decided to actually do his job of investigating Russian election tampering instead of charging Trump associates over anything and everything else.

And there's a distinct shortage of good news here for CNN and the Washington Post.

This “information warfare” by the Russians didn’t affect the outcome of the presidential election, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told reporters... The indictment cites no instances of Russians coordinating directly with the Trump campaign.

So the Russians didn't determine the outcome of the election with $100K in Facebook ads? I'm shocked.

In an indictment announced Friday in Washington, Mueller describes a years-long, multimillion-dollar conspiracy by hundreds of Russians aimed at criticizing Hillary Clinton and supporting Senator Bernie Sanders and Trump.

Most media outlets are burying the Sanders part.

After the election, the group organized both pro- and anti-Trump rallies, including a “Trump is NOT my President” rally in New York the week after the election and one in Charlotte, North Carolina, the following week.

It's almost like the Russians wanted to sow chaos and build influence... instead of specifically backing one candidate.

The Russians set up Facebook and Instagram groups with names that targeted such issues as immigration, religion and the Black Lives Matter movement. They also controlled numerous Twitter groups that appeared to be controlled by U.S. people, such as “Tennessee GOP.”

Supporting Black Lives Matter should open them up to charges of terrorism.

Mueller charged 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities and accused them of defrauding the U.S. government by interfering with the political process.

Indeed. How dare they usurp the role of the Democrats. It's just another case of immigrants taking American jobs away from SEIU.
