Robert DeNiro had his progressive meltdown at The National Board of Review, where he hurled insults at President Trump and then claimed that he was fighting for women's equality.

"Astonishingly, today, women are still struggling to get their rightful place and their fair share. I am still fighting for Meryl (Streep) to be able to get 79 cents of what a man would get to play Graham. It's shameful. I know."

What's shameful are the lies. And De Niro ought to know better than anyone that he's spouting nonsense.

Meryl Streep is Hollywood royalty, and must be compensated as such. In September, it was reported that the three-time Oscar winner would be joining J.J. Abrams’s new mini-series adaptation of novel The Nix. Now, it’s been revealed how much it will cost to bring the star to the small screen. Ready? Streep will make . . . $825,000 per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Though that’s not the highest paycheck on TV (that current mind-boggling honor goes to the main trio of The Big Bang Theory), it's still one of the highest fees on television. Streep is also handily out-earning fellow movie star Dwayne Johnson, who earns about $450,000 for each episode of the HBO series Ballers.

I blame racism.

But wait, looks who's earning 79 cents to Meryl Streep's dollar.

T.H.R.’s latest report also reveals how much Robert De Niro will make for starring in David O. Russell’s new mafia show on Amazon: the Oscar winner will collect $750,000 per episode, for a total of 20 episodes.

That's 825K for Meryl to $750K for Robert DeNiro. Good news, Meryl already gets paid more than a male star would. And she's getting paid more than the lefty throwing a virtue signaling tantrum on her behalf.
