The California NAACP has decided to double down on the anti-Americanism by coming out against the Star-Spangled Banner because its ignorant leadership claims that "hirelings and slaves" in an obscure verse refers to black people. Anyone who knows history, knows "hirelings and slaves" was a derogatory reference to subjects of a monarch. It also appears in the French anthem.
But on the left, ignorance is bliss. You don't need to know anything to shout, "racism". And it usually works better if you know as much history as Sheila Lee Jackson.
So the NAACP will take this up with the California legislature. Which has yet to find a leftist policy it opposes. And Governor Brown has been talking up California as an independent Republic.
“It is a little bold to talk about the China-California partnership as though we were a separate nation, but we are a separate nation,” Governor Brown of California announced.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, the radical leftist described California as “a real nation-state”.
Brown was taking a swing through China to reassure the Communist dictatorship of California’s loyalty to an illegal treaty
So the question is what will this nation-state of Californistan have as its anthem?
Considering that Jerry Brown is its undying eco-emperor, there is one obvious and fitting answer. California Uber Alles.
Not only will the middle word be taken as a reference to the disruptive power of the tech industry, but its lyrics are more relevant than ever. "Zen fascists will control you/100% natural/You will jog for the master race/And always wear the happy face."
Or, "I will be Fuhrer one day/I will command all of you/Your kids will meditate in school" is especially fitting considering Brown's reported interest in running for President.
What could be a more fitting anthem for the left's new California where smoking is a crime and smoking pot is a virtue, where plastic bags are banned, but the smart set just gets e-food deliveries. It's hypocritical, fascist, creepy and Governor Brown is still here.
Perhaps when Jerry goes to China next, the Chinese Revolutionary Political Prisoner's Orchestra can strike up a rousing rendition of, "California Uber Alles" to welcome him.
