While the media launches its latest tirade against Trump, here's a reminder of how incompetent it has become.
The argument with which the mainstream media journalists manned the barricades against bloggers was that they were professionals. They didn't do stupid things like confuse an obvious parody Twitter account with an official statement from the North Korean government.
Here's the correction from the New York Times...
Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article attributed incorrectly a Twitter statement to the North Korean government. The North Korean government did not belittle a joint American-South Korean military exercise as "demonstrating near total ignorance of ballistic science," that statement was from the DPRK News Service, a parody Twitter account.
The full quote that the Times printed read, "Imbecilic Americans drunkenly fire missiles into East Sea of Korea, demonstrating near total ignorance of ballistic science."
North Korea can be over the top, but that sounds much more like The People's Cube. But the media doesn't actually know anything anymore. Its new best and brightest grew up getting their news from the Daily Show. They don't know anything except how to sneer at and hate all the right people.
Obama's Goebbels, a guy by the name of Ben Rhodes, who boasted how he tricked an ignorant media into cheerleading the Iran Deal, vented his contempt for his pasties.
Rhodes singled out a key example to me one day, laced with the brutal contempt that is a hallmark of his private utterances. “All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus,” he said. “Now they don’t. They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.”
Literally. They know nothing. That's why they print garbage.
It's not just the usual garbage fake news when it comes to pushing policy agendas. They're generally ignorant. They know a lot about intersectionality. Like their old Soviet counterparts, they know their Marxism-Leninism. They just don't know anything about the real world.
