Saddam Busted for Trying to Join ISIS

That's Saddam Mohamed Raishani (there had to be a Mohammed in there), a Muslim settler living in New York City and working in the medical profession.

A Bronx home health aide was arrested at JFK airport Wednesday night for plotting to “pose as a nurse” on a humanitarian mission in order to travel to Syria and join terrorist group ISIS, the feds have said.

Saddam Mohamed “Adam” Raishani was charged by Manhattan federal prosecutors with one count of attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors said Raishani, 30, has spent months plotting alongside an undercover NYC police officer and an undercover FBI, who he believed were trying to help him get to Syria to join ISIS.

At one point, Raishani told the undercover cop, who he believed also wanted to join ISIS, that he would pose as a nurse if the cop posed as a refugee aid worker so that they could cross international borders without drawing suspicion from the authorities, the feds said.

A refugee aid worker. That would probably have worked really well. And is a good argument for imposing close scrutiny on the profession.

And it's also good to see that despite a pro-terror mayor in Gracie Mansion, the NYPD is still doing its job. But of course it has nothing to do with Islam. Only an Islamophobe would think so.

Raishani met a confidential source in early 2016 to speak about the history of Islam and met with the source a few times throughout the course of the year to do the same. However, the two hadn’t seen each other since August 2016. That was until January 15, when Raishani contacted the confidential source and asked to meet in person to talk. The confidential source had contacted authorities and started their investigation into the matter by recording the conversation.

The two met the next day — January 16 — in Queens and spoke inside of the confidential source’s car. In the conversation, Raishani allegedly spoke once again about the history of Islam. That’s when the confidential source noticed a black ISIS flag on Raishani’s cell phone. The confidential source asked Raishani if he supported the terrorist group, and he replied: “May Allah guide them.” After that, Raishani advised both of them to turn off their cell phones for the duration of the conversation, which they did.

During the rest of the conversation, Raishani said that one of his friends recently left NYC to join ISIS, and he admitted to taking the man shopping to purchase supplies to bring to ISIS.

How many more Muslim settlers in America have already done so?

Raishani also said that if he were to be arrested he wouldn’t care “because Allah would see that he tried.”

The NYPD certainly saw.
