In a sad show of partisanship and hatred, nearly every Senate Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee stood with the anti-Israel hate group J Street and voted against Ambassador David Friedman. These were the same Dems who gave a blank check to Obama's routine appointment of completely unqualified donors to the major countries of Europe.
Ben Cardin had a choice between standing with Israel and with its J Street enemies who have hosted BDS bigots and terrorists. He chose J Street.
Diane Feinstein offered a deranged rant in the pages of the San Francisco Chronicle. She, very predictably, chose J Street.
Robert Menendez continued to show that he is the last Senate Democrat to be a principled moderate on foreign policy. The last pro-Israel Dem senator voted for David Friedman. He stood alone on a raving panel of Dem bigots addicted to dirty money from Soros' anti-Israel hate group. It was a courageous moment and a deeply disgusting one. A reminder of how thoroughly the Dems have betrayed the Jewish State.
Tim Kaine, a creepy J Street puppet, even more predictably voted with J Street and against Friedman. As did Tom Udall.
These brief remarks by Senator Marco Rubio sum up just how disgusting the campaign that Ambassador David Friedman was forced to endure. And how it is a microcosm of what Israel has to deal with.
