Our oppressed celebrity overlords continue their whinging binge at their award shows. It's hard to even keep track of them anymore. Meryl Streep. Aaron Sorkin. George Clooney.
"As citizens of the world, we're going to have to work harder and harder not to let hate win," Clooney declared.
"The actions of this president have caused alarm and dismay," he whined.
That was followed by some DNC nonsense about how, "Love Trumps hate, courage Trumps fear and always right Trump's wrongs." And assorted references to McCarthyism. Because that never gets old.
It's not clear what trumps raping a 13-year-old girl. Or clooneys it.
"When you think about all that this 83-year-old man has been through, it's awful to imagine that they're still after him," Clooney had said of Roman Polanski.
Maybe George Clooney, Citizen of the World, can join Roman Polanski in exile. The United States has citizens of the nation. Not citizens of the world. If Clooney wants to be a Citizen of the World, he can stay in Paris which is full of citizens of the world from Algeria, Yemen and Syria.
He'll need a lot more bodyguards to protect himself from them.
