Slavery under Islam dates back to Mohammed. It was interrupted by European efforts from British and French authorities during the colonial period, which also provided non-Muslims, such as Christians and Jews with the equal rights denied to them by Islam, and later by American pressure, which forced the Saudis to officially abolish slavery in 1962, though unofficially the practice continues.
The Islamic State has officially brought back slavery in a very big way.
The new UN report states that, "The number of people currently being held in slavery by ISIL numbers approximately 3,500. Those being held are predominantly women and children and come primarily from the Yezidi community, but a number are also from other ethnic and religious minority communities."
That means non-Muslims. For the most part this is about rape since the majority of slaves are women and children, not young men. ISIS has been known to murder elderly non-Muslim women.
Over the past year, Islamic State forces have kidnapped thousands of young Yazidi women to use as sex slaves. Now we know what happened to those not deemed ‘attractive enough’ for them.
Younger women from the town were taken into sexual slavery, but the older ones were led behind away before gunfire was heard a short while later.
And it murders non-Muslim women who refuse the Islamic rite of rape.
On 3 August, it was reported that ISIL allegedly killed 19 women in Mosul, Ninewa, over 1 and 2 August, for refusing to have sex with its fighters.
In Islam, women have no right to refuse Muslim men, which explains what happened in Cologne, and especially non-Muslim slavewomen are not allowed to refuse their Muslim owners. In the Islamic State, rape is a religious ritual that Muslims inflict on non-Muslims.
In the moments before he raped the 12-year-old girl, the Islamic State fighter took the time to explain that what he was about to do was not a sin. Because the preteen girl practiced a religion other than Islam, the Quran not only gave him the right to rape her — it condoned and encouraged it, he insisted.
He bound her hands and gagged her. Then he knelt beside the bed and prostrated himself in prayer before getting on top of her.
When it was over, he knelt to pray again, bookending the rape with acts of religious devotion.
“I kept telling him it hurts — please stop,” said the girl, whose body is so small an adult could circle her waist with two hands.
“He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to Allah,” she said in an interview alongside her family in a refugee camp here, to which she escaped after 11 months of captivity.
Every time that he came to rape me, he would pray,” said F, a 15-year-old girl who was captured on the shoulder of Mount Sinjar one year ago and was sold to an Iraqi fighter in his 20s. Like some others interviewed by The New York Times, she wanted to be identified only by her first initial because of the shame associated with rape.
“He kept telling me this is ibadah,” she said, using a term from Islamic scripture meaning worship.
“He said that raping me is his prayer to Allah. I said to him, ‘What you’re doing to me is wrong, and it will not bring you closer to Allah.’ And he said, ‘No, it’s allowed. It’s halal,’ ” said the teenager, who escaped in April with the help of smugglers after being enslaved for nearly nine months….
One 34-year-old Yazidi woman, who was bought and repeatedly raped by a Saudi fighter in the Syrian city of Shadadi, described how she fared better than the second slave in the household — a 12-year-old girl who was raped for days on end despite heavy bleeding.
“He destroyed her body. She was badly infected. The fighter kept coming and asking me, ‘Why does she smell so bad?’ And I said, she has an infection on the inside, you need to take care of her,” the woman said.
Unmoved, he ignored the girl’s agony, continuing the ritual of praying before and after raping the child.
“I said to him, ‘She’s just a little girl,’ ” the older woman recalled. “And he answered: ‘No. She’s not a little girl. She’s a slave. And she knows exactly how to have sex.’ ’’
“And having sex with her pleases Allah,” he said.
Allah has opened the lands for His awliyā’, so they entered and dispersed within the lands, killing the fighters of the kuffār (non-Muslims), capturing their women, and enslaving their children.
I write this while the letters drip of pride. Yes, O religions of kufr (non-Muslims) altogether, we have indeed raided and captured the kāfirah women, and drove them like sheep by the edge of the sword.
I and those with me at home prostrated to Allah in gratitude on the day the first slave-girl entered our home.
It is Caliphate with everything it contains of honor and pride for the Muslim and humiliation and degradation for the kāfir (non-Muslim).
A moderate Muslim theology professor of Al-Azhar recently explained that the purpose of raping non-Muslim women is to degrade non-Muslims.
"The female prisoners of wars are 'those whom you own.' In order to humiliate them, they become the property of the army commander, or of a Muslim, and he can have sex with them just like he has sex with his wives."
Humiliating non-Muslims is the essence of Islam. When Muslims shout Allahu Akbar, they are declaring the truth of Islam and inferiority of non-Muslims through warfare. By degrading non-Muslims, Muslims prove that Allah is superior.
Rape is how Muslims worship Allah since the days of Mohammed.
