I don't know about you, but personally I want all decisions about the Bill of Rights to be made by "impassioned appeals" from celebrities who don't go anywhere without heavily armed security.
So the media is busy touting an open letter calling for gun control signed by such constitutional scholars as Britney Spears, Alanis Morisette, Cher, Billy Joel, Courtney Love and the Dixie Chicks. Many of the signers, like Tori Amos, have not been relevant since the 90s. Others, like Yoko Ono, have never been relevant. But if you ever wanted to know Shakira or Tom Yorke's views on gun control, here you go.
Or you could just note how many armed guards they have around them at public appearances.
The list is oddly light on names from the hip hop world. But maybe that shouldn't be too surprising. Those are musicians who like to carry guns instead of pretending to be horrified by them while paying out large sums of money to be protected by men carrying them anyway.
