The media loves stories about Muslims "challenging" Islamophobia. Especially if it's done with typical troll tactics. Then the headline is "Muslims shut down Islamophobes with cheeky meme." But, as it turns out, Muslims complaining about Islamophobia are far more likely to be violently beaten within an inch of their lives by other Muslims.
Because Islamic violence was invented by Islamophobes. It's a myth that doesn't exist in real life. Call this story, "Islamophilic Muslims Shut Down Muslim Fighting Islamophobia and You Won't Believe How They Did It."
An asylum seeker who jokingly wore a T-shirt saying ‘I’m Muslim, don’t panic’ was so savagely beaten by his fellow refugees that he had to be rushed to hospital.
The 23-year-old Iraqi had thought that his fellow Islamic asylum seekers would see the funny side, but instead they accused him of offending their religion and decided to teach him a painful lesson.
The man was attacked in the evening as he returned to his asylum seeker home in Berlin, Germany wearing the T-shirt which he had just bought.
He was allegedly confronted by three angry Muslims who ripped up the T-shirt and ran off after beating him.
Two of the alleged attackers, a 27-year-old from Syria and a 33-year-old from Lebanon, were later arrested on charges of aggravated GBH.
It's okay. They're refugees so they can't be deported. Their lawyers will claim that they're traumatized by the war. Next time we hear about them they'll be shooting up a concert or murdering a cartoonist for offending their religion.
But this whole story is a reminder of the inspirational words of the leading Islamic thinker, the Ayatollah Khomeini. "There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam."
Much as the media loves those "Muslims mocking Islamophobes" stories, Islam has no sense of humor, except in its expression of cruelty.
