Is it an apple? It is a banana? No it's a hideous hybrid of the two.
It's CNN. Where news goes to die and then turns into anti-Trump clickbait where lefty rage clicks help companies sell them Korean cars and overpriced hipster toothpaste. Here's CNN's UK edition.
Trump denies he criticized British prime minister after criticizing her - CNN
London (CNN)President Donald Trump denied Friday that he criticized British Prime Minister Theresa May, the day after a British tabloid published an interview with him in which he did just that. He dismissed the interview, conducted by a Rupert Murdoch-owned publication, as "fake news" saying it didn't include his comments praising May.
That's the first paragraph and it's misleading garbage.
Here's what Trump actually said.
You seem to have changed your tune on Brexit. We are meant to have a special relationship, but you criticized the PM personally?
Donald Trump: I didn’t criticize the PM. I have a lot of respect for the PM. A story was done that was generally fine but didn’t put in the tremendous things I say about the PM. We have recordings when we deal with reporters. It’s called fake news. The only thing I ask of Theresa is we make sure that we can trade and don’t have any restrictions. We want the U.K. to trade with us. We have a tremendous opportunity to double, triple or quadruple trade. If they’re going to go a certain route, I just said I hope they will be able to trade with the U.S. I read reports that said that would not be possible, but after speaking with the PM and her representatives, it seems that will be possible. We want to be able to trade and they want to be able to trade
Trump didn't dismiss the interview. He called it, "generally fine." It's unclear that his "fake news" reference is to that particular interview. It appears to be to the media in general.
Donald Trump: I said very good things about Theresa May. I don’t think they put it in, but that’s all right. I said to Theresa May I wanted to apologise, but she said ‘Don’t worry, it’s only the press’.
Exactly.
