Facebook has a consistent standard. It bans people whose politics its leadership disagrees with. Whether you're the one being threatened or doing the threatening doesn't matter. Only your politics does.

Jamie Glazov's recent experience reinforces that reality.

On Saturday, April 14, 2018, a certain Muhammad Irfan Ayoub started commenting on Jamie’s page, rebuking him for daring to bring attention to the persecution of women and girls under Sharia and telling Jamie to convert to Islam. As the exchange ensued over various aspects of Islam, and as Jamie made clear he did not want to convert, Ayoub made it clear that there would be punishment and that “Allah will defeat you.”

"Come here, I would break your mouth," Muhammad threatened. When Jamie reported the threat, Facebook responded quickly and ruthlessly.

The next day, on Sunday, April 15, 2018, Facebook notified Jamie that he was now being punished with a seven day ban for the post he made asking Mr. Zuckerberg about whether or not Ayoub’s threat is unsafe to the FB community.

Reporting a threat from an Islamist, that's a ban,

And this is what the infrastructure of the internet increasingly looks like. Trump's victory has allowed the left to invent a crisis of free speech that must be suppressed with broad ranging censorshiip.

You don't have to live in the UK to face this brand of censorship. It's here in the USA.
