The ultimate seal of approval.
Former President Jimmy Carter says President Trump's choice of John Bolton as his new national security adviser is "the worst mistake" Mr. Trump has made.
"I have been concerned at some of the things he's decided. I think his last choice for national security adviser was very ill-advised. I think John Bolton has been the worst mistake he's made," Carter told "CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell Monday.
I can't think of a better endorsement than that.
Considering how thoroughly wrong Carter has been over the ages, his repeated and frequent foreign policy betrayals, opposition is as good as an endorsement.
By the way, Carter's National Security Adviser was a guy by the name of Zbigniew Brzezinski. Aside from creating the celebutante half of Morning Joe, he was responsible for a few major disasters. And his crowning triumph was the "Green Belt" strategy of creating a chain of Islamic regimes.
Like Iran.
Bolton or Brzezinski? That's a tough choice.
We know Carter's foreign policy. And the American people have thoroughly rejected it.
