The legal Jihad has seen better days.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Irving ISD, the city of Irving and several individuals by the father of a teen who was arrested after bringing to school a homemade clock that was mistaken for a bomb.

The charge against Ahmed was later dropped. The boy and his family have since moved to Qatar.

Of course it's Qatar. It's always Qatar.

The matter caught the attention of many influential people, including former President Barack Obama, who invited Ahmed to bring his "cool clock" to the White House.

White House officials also extended the teen an invitation to speak with NASA scientists and astronauts.

But Ahmed began speaking to lawyers.

Conservative commentator and activist Ben Shapiro happily announced the lawsuit against him by Ahmed Muhammed, dubbed “clock boy,” was dismissed on Wednesday with attorney’s fees awarded to Shapiro.

The averages haven't been very good.

Free speech won a victory in Texas on Tuesday when a judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit by Mohamed Mohamed, father of the “Clock Boy,” Ahmed Mohamed, against me, my employer — the Center for Security Policy — Fox News, Glenn Beck, and others including the mayor of Irving, Texas. The suit claimed that in the course of discussing Ahmed Mohamed’s bringing a device resembling a bomb to his school, we had defamed Ahmed and his family.

They really should have stuck to clocks.
