The astroturf "student protests" are the left's last desperate effort to retain the political momentum from the Parkland school shootings. And the media keeps promoting what amounts to a political ditch day.
Are a bunch of students going to leave? Of course. They're teenagers. If I were still in school, I would have seized the day.
Is disrupting education for a political agenda the responsible thing to do? The media certainly thinks so. When it agrees with the agenda.
Imagine if there was a similar protest to oppose abortion? The media wouldn't be churning out the same tedious "student courage" propaganda. Instead it would connect them to the conservative groups organizing it. It would bemoan the educational disruption of a walkout and it would focus on the students who are opposed to the protest.
It's only when students support a cause, that the media supports them. And forget the "student survivor" stuff. The media has shown no reluctance in smearing Parkland student survivors who don't parrot its agenda. CNN's slimy war against one student was far uglier than any of the supposed conservative critiques that the media chose to highlight. The media's campaign against Kyle Kashuv is just as ugly.
The media likes to pretend that it's for education. It's not for education. It's for indoctrination.
