CNN would report on this because it currently cares so much about the children. But it only cares about those "children" who can be groomed to support its political agenda. And this story is about how the left empowers the abuse of children. Many of them belonging to minority groups.
UN staff have carried out thousands of rapes and other sexual violations against women and children over the last decade, according to a former senior United Nations official.
“There are tens of thousands of aid workers around the world with pedophile tendencies, but if you wear a UNICEF T-shirt, nobody will ask what you’re up to," Andrew MacLeod, the former chief of operations at the UN's Emergency Co-ordination Center, said in an interview with british tabloid The Sun on Monday, adding that an estimated 60,000 cases of sexual exploitation had been comitted over the last decade by 3,300 pedophiles working in the organization.
“Child rape crimes are being inadvertently funded, in part, by United Kingdom tax-payers,” he added.
In an interview with CNN last week, MacLeod argued that aid jobs throughout the developed world are used by abusers as an easy way to gain access to vulnerable women and children.
There have been multiple scandals of this sort involving UN peacekeepers. Oxfam has been caught in its own scandal. And the Peace Corps is notorious for its sexual assault rates. But these are all lefty institutions so we can't talk about them for very long. It interferes with the narrative.
And you can bet that the victims of abuse by UN personnel won't be invited on CNN to tell their story.
She had been orphaned by a brutal conflict, but the 14-year-old Congolese girl found refuge in a camp protected by United Nations peacekeepers.
The camp should have been safe the day she was raped. A delegation from the U.N. was paying a visit, and her grandmother had left her in charge of her siblings. That was the day, the girl says, that a Pakistani peacekeeper slipped inside their home and assaulted her in front of the other children.
But that was not the end of her story. Even though she reported the rape, the girl never got any help from the U.N. She did become pregnant, however, and had a baby.

A United Nations official is headed to the Central African Republic after reports that over 100 women, girls and boys were raped and abused -- many by U.N. peacekeepers.
The AP found nearly 2,000 allegations of abuse and exploitation in the past 12 years. More than 300 of those cases involved children. And since the U.N. cannot punish peacekeepers from other countries, only a fraction of the alleged perpetrators served jail time.
In early 2017 the United Nations Secretary General admitted to 145 incidents involving 311 victims in 2016 alone, mainly in peace operations. Many of the victims were children
More than 100 UN peacekeepers ran a child sex ring in Haiti
If any country occupied another country and engaged in mass sexual assaults, there would be outrage and calls for war crime charges. So when are UN leaders going to face war crimes charges?
