#ImWithHer: Hillary Protected Adviser Accused of Sexual Harassment

This is real progress.

At least Hillary Clinton is being accused of protecting a harasser she wasn't married to.

The first time she ran for president in 2008, Hillary Clinton chose to shield her faith adviser on the campaign who was accused of sexually harassing a subordinate, according to the New York Times, citing four people familiar with what took place.

Instead of firing the adviser, Burns Strider, as her campaign manager recommended, Clinton docked his pay for a few weeks, ordered him to go to counseling, and moved the young woman accusing him into a different position, according to the report. Strider went on to co-found the American Values Network, a faith organization, then five years later, he joined Correct the Record, a super PAC run by Clinton friend David Brock that supported Clinton's 2016 presidential run. Within months, Strider was fired from Correct the Record over a handful of issues, including accusations of harassing against a young aide, three people told the Times.

During the campaign, Strider described himself as Clinton's "faith guru," sending her scripture passages each morning.

Hillary Clinton did like her gurus. And she's as much of a feminist as Al Gore is an environmentalist. Those are just very useful poses.

While Strider was fired from CTR, he apparently maintained ties with Hillary Clinton long after all that.

Strider claimed in 2016 that he and Hillary exchanged e-mails daily, which would have been long after he was fired from CTR. CBN’s David Brody interviewed Strider from the Democratic National Convention in 2016 about their close relationship, part of Hillary’s attempts to show her religious faith and foundation.

It's not exactly a surprise.

We are talking about Hillary Clinton. The woman who was caught on tape laughing about how she helped the rapist of a 12-year-old girl escape justice. She managed her husband's "bimbo eruptions" and defended Senator Packwood, a Republican, from accusations. Despite her feminist branding, Hillary Clinton has a track record of mistreating women. But then again, so does the Bernie Sanders campaign.

The floodgates opened when it was revealed that six senior staffers from the Bernie campaign had complained about Carmona’s behavior.  Instead of disciplining him, the Sanders campaign promoted their Latino Outreach man even higher in the campaign. The scandalous revelations soon dragged in Rich Pelletier, Bernie’s national field director, who was accused of covering up for Carmona.

Bernie’s national field director and deputy political director were in the middle of a political firestorm. Masha Mendieta, the California outreach director for the Sanders campaign, reported that in Chicago, “men and women were made to sleep together in open rooms on mattresses with no privacy or safety locks.”

"I remember feeling physically unsafe at that point. I sat on the stairs in that drab house being told I’d have to sleep in a room with three other men and felt nauseous," she wrote.

But this was the campaign of a candidate who had once written, "A woman enjoys intercourse with her man as she fantasizes being raped by 3 men simultaneously.”

The Democrats really are the party that stands up for women.
