Actually it's not.
When you think Bradley Manning, you probably have higher standards of insanity. But this will have to do.
“We live in trying times. Times of fear, of suppression, hate,” Manning says as images of the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., and protesters clashing with police are shown. “We don’t need more or better leaders, we need someone willing to fight,”
We don't need more leaders, Manning says, while running for Senate. What exactly does he plan to do there? Challenge Lindsey Graham to a fistfight?
“We need to stop expecting that our systems will somehow fix themselves, we need to actually take the reins of power from them,” Manning says.
“We need to challenge this at every level. We need to fix this. We don’t need them anymore, we can do better."
It's the narcissistic millennial word salad you would expect to find on a Tumblr post by a sociology major. So, Bradley's probably ahead of his time by a decade.
Manning will run against Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) in the November Democratic primary.
And good luck with that. Some lefties would like to get rid of Cardin. But I don't think a traitor is the hero they want. Maybe though, it's the hero they deserve.
They're going to be pushing Russian collusion while a traitor who leaked our secrets, and was pardoned by Obama, runs in a Dem primary. And he's got links to the same lefty infrastructure that the Dems used as part of their accusations against Trump.
He's also going to be hard to ignore. Especially since Republicans and the media will keep giving him publicity. If he wins, then the nightmare really begins. And while that's unlikely, the #Resistance is out in force and hard lefties are doling out cash and manpower.
This wasn't what the Dems needed in their big year. But it may be what they deserve.
