The Golden Globes were a festival of shameless hypocrisy in which Harvey Weinstein pals like Meryl Streep, who allegedly knew about his abuses, were honored as fighters against sexual harassment.
It was a great moment for Oprah, who had been accused of being quite useful for Harvey Weinstein, to launch her presidential bid.
An aspiring actress says Harvey Weinstein used Oprah Winfrey and Naomi Campbell to dupe her into thinking he would help her with her career — only to use her for sex.
British actress Kadian Noble said Tuesday she was head-over-heels impressed when she first met Weinstein at an event in London because he was hanging out with model Campbell and had megastar Oprah “swinging off his arm.”
“I thought, obviously, this man has something amazing in store for me,” she said during a teary-eyed press conference in Manhattan to discuss the sex trafficking lawsuit she filed a day earlier against Weinstein in Manhattan federal court.

Rose McGowan and Asia Argento accused Harvey Weinstein of rape, which acted as a catalyst for the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements — but they, like Marchesa gowns, were conspicuously absent from the 2018 Golden Globes.
The women, along with several of Weinstein’s other accusers, claim that they weren’t invited to the event.
“I can only speak for myself but not only I wasn’t invited to the #GoldenGlobes: nobody asked my opinion about #TIMESUP or to sign the letter,” Argento, 42, tweeted Monday morning. “I support @TIMESUPNOW even though I was excluded from it. Guess I am not POWERFUL or HOLLYWOOD enough. Proud to work behind the scenes.”
Rosanna Arquette, who accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, tweeted to a follower, “No we weren’t invited. Annabella [Sciorra], Daryl [Hannah], Mira [Sorvino] … none of us were.”
Of course not.
This is about reinventing the complicit as fighters against sexual harassment. It's about letting the junior lefty brigade of Natalie Portman and Emma Watson do their own prog posturing to make Hollywood appear so woke. But the one thing it isn't about, is justice.
Time's clearly not up. Nor will it be up from within the industry.
