The Muslim colonists and settlers who claim to be an imaginary "Palestinian" people (a word they can't even pronounce) in order to justify colonial violence against the indigenous Israeli Jews appropriate a lot of Jewish things.
But the one Jewish thing they can honestly lay claim to is... chutzpah. That's how they can announce that they won't talk to America while still taking our money.
And so you have Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO leader who postures as the head of the Palestinian Authority, despite the lack of any actual elections, showing up to give a Castroesque speech to Erdogan's shindig, in which he accuses the Jews of faking history. And then claims Mohammed was a Palestinian.
Chutzpah. The Muslim "Palestinian" colonists may not have invented it. But they're the best at it.
Here are the gory details from the Jerusalem Post's Seth Franzman, who actually sat through the endless Abbas tirade.
During his speech to the emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Jews of “faking” history in Jerusalem. Speaking on Wednesday just before noon, he claimed “I don’t want to discuss religion or history because they are really excellent in faking and counterfeiting history,” Abbas said. “But if we read the Torah it says that the Canaanites were there before the time of our prophet Abraham and their [Canaanite] existence continued since that time, this is in the Torah itself.”
Then his speech took an anti-Jewish tone. “But if they would like to fake this history, they are really masters in this and it is mentioned in the holy Quran they fabricate truth and they try to do that and they believe in that but we have been there in this location for thousands of years.”
The Arabs currently living in Israel have nothing to do with the Caananites. They migrated here far more recently than the time of Abraham. In some cases it's a matter of decades or centuries. They appropriated "Palestinian" as their name. Even though it's a Roman name for the Philistines who were not in any way Caananites.They were, like the "Palestinians", an invasive colonial population.
Jewish resistance to the Philistines figures strongly in the stories of the Judges and the early monarchy. King Saul's rise is really a rebellion against the Palestinian occupation. Samson wages a guerrilla war against the Palestinian colonists. The Davidic monarchy helps end the Philistine or Palestinian threat.
Except the Palestinians doesn't claim to be Palestinians. They occasionally claim to be Caananites because they were there 'first'. But that would interfere with their whole claim of descending from Ishmael, an area where Judaism and Islam agree. Muslims claim that Mohammed descended from Ishmael. And yet here is Abbas claiming that Mohammed was a "Palestinian".
PLO officials had previously claimed that Jesus was a Palestinian. Since Jesus was Jewish, that would make the Palestinians, Jews. But, according to Abbas and his Koran, it's the Jews who fake history. And since Abbas is addressing a racist Islamic audience, he invokes the Islamic Supremacist slurs that the Koran hurled at the Jewish people (and at Christians).

Claiming Mohammed was a Palestinian is the first technically honest thing Abbas has ever said.
If Mohammed was a Palestinian, then the Palestinians are just Arabs. Mohammed never lived in Israel. He was born even further away than Arafat, who came from Egypt and originally invaded with a Muslim Brotherhood army. And he never made it to Israel.
The entire colonial Muslim claim to the Jewish holy site on the Temple Mount rests on Mohammed riding a flying woman/demon/horse in a vision to Jerusalem. As historical claims go, dream rides on a flying beast with a woman's head, are really poor arguments. But they're good enough for UNESCO.
But anyway, it's the Jews that "fake" history. Not the Caananite\Philistines who came from Arabia and insist that the Jews never lived in Israel despite their own Koran telling them otherwise.
But if Mohammed is a Palestinian, then Palestinian is just another way of saying "Islamic Arab who is laying claim to Israel for religious reasons". And that's a fairly honest description of who the "Palestinian" colonists are.
They're the settlers of the Mohammedan conquests which turned the Arabs into the dominant power in the region after the collapse of the leftovers of Rome and Persia.
Mohammed is as much of a "Palestinian" as Abbas. But the Arabs calling themselves Syrians or Egyptians are equally fictional. They're just Arab conquerors who displaced, conquered, enslaved and destroyed the original indigenous peoples and civilizations who lived there and adopted their names.
Now the Muslim colonists are meeting to insist on their rights to the lands they had conquered and colonized. The farce is a reminder that real opposition to colonialism means supporting the indigenous Jewish resistance to Islamic Supremacism. But much of the left instead pretends that the colonizers are the colonized, that the settlers are the indigenous population, and nods along when the head of a terrorist group of a people he doesn't even claim to belong to accuses the Jews of faking history.
