That whole collusion thing really has a way of coming around full circle and biting the Dems. The Trump-Russia dossier turned out to have come from Russian intel, paid for by Hillary, and the Uranium One scandal, was a truly damning example of Clinton's collusion.
Just as the media and its leftist backers are jumping up and down for joy over Flynn's guilty plea, here's a sour note.
The White House said on Friday that it was the Obama administration that authorized former national security adviser Michael Flynn's contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during President Trump's transition, according to CNN.
Court records indicate that his communications with Kislyak were directed by a Trump transition official, with multiple news outlets reporting that official was Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
“They are saying here at the White House that Flynn’s conversations with Sergey Kisylak were quote ‘authorized’ by the Obama administration,” CNN correspondent Jim Acosta said.
It's not especially implausible.
Despite the current hysteria, Obama wanted to stay on good terms with Russia. It was Flynn's phone call on behalf of Israel that specifically countered one of his policies. And would have triggered some Obama Inc. figures, e.g. Samantha Power, Susan Rice, to go after Flynn.
And, knowing that Flynn had contacts in Russia, would have enabled them to know exactly what he was doing.
The phone calls themselves were legal. The purpose of the investigation was entrapment. And, if this is correct, it looks like another case of Obama Inc. masterminding the whole operation from the top down, finally indicting a political enemy for an activity that they had authorized and therefore were best equipped to eavesdrop on.
