Racism is not a one way street.
But the left has built its value system on denying that any kind of racism, except from white people, exists and even when they are forced to admit it, try to minimize it through the despicable euphemisms, "reverse racism".
Either all racism is bad. Or no racism is bad.
The left's embrace of the vile racism of black nationalism has resulted in an equal and opposite effect. And then we have cases like this. If a white serial killer had stalked black men, we would never hear the end of it. But a black serial killer stalking white men is a "local issue." It's just one of those local crime stories that don't deserve national coverage. Unlike the time a white man shot 3 Muslims over a parking dispute. That somehow had to be a national story. Because it's not about any kind of universal tolerance. It's picking and choosing who has a right to live. Whose lives matter.
Black lives matter. The lives of these 5 white middle aged white men don't.
Fredrick Demond Scott, suspected of shooting five middle-aged white men since last year — including four on south Kansas City walking trails — threatened in 2014 to shoot up a school and “kill all white people,” according to court records.
Scott, who is black, has been charged with murder in the deaths of Steven Gibbons, 57, and John Palmer, 54. On Tuesday, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced those charges, also naming Scott as a suspect in the killings of David Lenox, 67; Timothy S. Rice, 57, of Excelsior Springs; and Mike Darby, 61, co-owner of Coach’s Bar & Grill at 103rd Street and Wornall Road.
All five were white men between ages 54 and 67. All five were fatally shot, most from behind, in surprise attacks as they walked dogs, visited parks and, in one case, walked down a city street.
I'm going to go ahead and speculate that Fredrick Demond Scott's threats would have recieved more attention if the racial roles had been reversed. And that we would be seeing a whole lot more coverage of this story if the left could use it to lecture us on white privilege. But here's what white privilege really looks like in the age of Black Lives Matter.
