The Washington Post, a left-wing social justice blog which shares an owner with Amazon, decided to provide a platform to a racist anti-Semitic terror supporter to promote herself. I'm talking about Linda Sarsour, of course, fresh from the outrage over her call for Jihad against President Trump.
That was obviously catnip for the Post.
"I sent not a call to violence, but a call to speak truth to power and to commit to the struggle for racial and economic justice. I was speaking to an all-Muslim audience; as an American, I should be free to share and discuss scripture and teachings of my beloved Prophet,” Sarsour writes in the Post.
Her beloved prophet was a psychotic mass murderer who ordered the rape and killing of non-Muslims. ISIS' crimes were based on Mohammed's atrocities.
But let's skip to Sarsour's claim that she was calling for a struggle for racial and economic justice, and not a call to violence.
“A word of truth in front of a tyrant or leader, that is the best form of jihad.” I hope, that when we stand up to those who oppress our communities, that Allah accepts us as a form of jihad, that we are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad in the Middle East or the other side of the world, but here in the United States of America, where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House."
The Sarsour apologists have seized on that first sentence. Sarsour just meant speaking the "truth". But in the Islamic context, speaking "truth" is propounding the doctrines of Islamic rule, of imposing its doctrines. It's a non-violent act only in the sense that a KKK or Nazi rally may be non-violent in practice, not in intent or agenda.
The Islamists she was addressing have a larger political context. And that is the Muslim Brotherhood. Its struggles are as likely to be violent as political.
Sarsour encompassed the Jihad against Trump within the larger Islamist campaign to take over the Middle East. A campaign that has involved bombing churches, murdering children and committing a variety of terrorist atrocities.
