How Bernie Sanders Can Still Win

Bernie Sanders has said that despite recent losses, he still has a path to victory. He is correct.

So let me map out what a realistic plan for a Bernie Sanders victory would look like.

To win, Bernie Sanders must mobilize the progressive vanguard revolution. He must inspire the workers and peasants of Berkeley, Park Slope and San Francisco to rise up for social justice.

Following Lenin's April Theses, Bernie Sanders will explain that the only possible path forward is to convince the proletariat that is has placed "unreasoning trust in the government of capitalists" who are the "worst enemies of peace and socialism". Sanders supporters must recognize that, as Lenin said, "It is not our immediate task to “introduce” socialism, but only to bring social production and the distribution of products at once under the control of the Soviets of Workers’ Deputies."

Like Lenin, Bernie must issue a call to seize banks, telegraphs and telephones (these days, servers and cell phone towers) on behalf of the people.

Representatives of the Sanders Proletariat, Social Justice Studies graduates from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon, will take the lead in these actions leading the revolutionary vanguard to victory.

Occupy Wall Street will actually occupy Wall Street, as opposed to a park near Wall Street. The oppressed peoples of Oakland and Baltimore, and their revolutionary Soviets, will seize the wealth of the capitalist middle class and then burn everything to the ground. Including the wealth.

A band of graduate students writing thesis papers on perceptions of asexuality in 70s sitcoms led by Melissa Click will storm the Capitol and call for mass executions. Pajama Boy and a confused mob of illegal aliens who don't speak English will take over hospitals and swig oxygen right from the tube.

Then Bernie Sanders will emerge to decry some of the excesses of his supporters, while warning that if the will of the people is defied, then there just might be riots.

At gunpoint, the occupied Capitol votes to make Bernie Sanders president while abolishing the United States. Entire city governments announce that they are joining a new Bernie Sanders led People's Democratic Republic of Freestuffistan. Resistance continues but is quickly put down by a corps of social justice warriors who work part time at Starbucks and Whole Foods. Ta Nehisi Coates is given three hours on every TV station every day to rant about white people and black fragility. The United States flag is painted all red with one rainbow star. Then the bread lines begin to form.

That's Bernie's most realistic path to victory. He must seize the moment because it will be harder to pull off when he's no longer a strapping young Socialist of 74.
