The Dem field for 2020 is looking brighter than ever. There's Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Jerry Brown. That's right, you lucky dog. Jerry Brown won't rule out running for president.
California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) isn't ruling out out running for president in 2020.
Brown opened up about his possible future in elected office during a Thursday press conference about his plan to fix California’s infrastructure, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
“I don’t think I’m running for office,” said Brown, whose term is up in 2018. “I only have lieutenant governor, treasurer and controller left.”
When someone in the crowd yelled “president,” Brown responded, “But I’d be 82 then," then paused before saying, "Don’t rule it out.”
Don't rule it out. He's only 82. And who doesn't want America to be more like California with high taxes, tons of regulations and no shopping bags.
But I also wouldn't rule out Jerry Brown being found in a motel room surrounded by pot brownies and elderly hippies. That one is more likely to happen.
But if Governor Moonbeam does become President Moonbeam, he can finally build a light rail from Alaska to Florida and launch those satellites to fight global warming, legalize all illegal aliens and have warning stickers on everything. Finally all of America can be like California, without the weather, the entertainment and dot com industries to subsidize it.
