It's hard to be the dumbest man on CNN. There's a tough competition in the race to the bottom. But Chris Cuomo is a determined guy. And when sheer stupidity is on the line, he wins so hard that you feel sorry for him.
CNN anchor Chris Cuomo said Thursday that when President Trump refers to his network as "fake news," it's the same thing for reporters as the N-word is for black people.
"I see being called 'fake news' as the equivalent of the N-word for journalists, the equivalent of calling an Italian any of the ugly words that people have for that ethnicity," Cuomo said on SiriusXM. "That's what fake news is to a journalist."
Except that Fake News was a media originated accusation.
5 minutes ago, the media was pressuring Facebook to use their partisan fact checkers to censor conservative content while Hillary Clinton warned that fake news kills. Then the accusation was turned against the media which decided that it should be viewed as a racial slur.
But it's good that journalists are agitating to treat criticisms of their lies as a hate crime. Who in America is more victimized than CNN? Except maybe Meryl Streep.
