Officially Pakistan is our ally in the War on Terror. In reality, it's a state sponsor of Islamic terror. And it doesn't even hide it. Just look at where Osama bin Laden was found. Or these latest comments by Pakistan's leader.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday again praised Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani, calling him a “vibrant and charismatic leader”.
Addressing an International Parliamentary Seminar on Kashmir in Islamabad, Sharif called for an end to the “continued suffering” of generations in Kashmir.
Referring to Burhan Wani as a “vibrant and charismatic leader”, he said that his “martyrdom has become a rallying point for the freedom loving people”.
The suffering in Kashmir is caused by Pakistani Islamic terrorism. Wani was with Hizbul Mujahideen, an Islamic terror group run by Pakistan. It's the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami and has worked together with Lashkar-e-Taiba, which has much more of an international presence and was linked to the horrifying Mumbai massacre, which included the torture and murder of a Rabbi and his family, and a number of terror attacks in the United States.
Hizbul Mujahideen is listed as a terror group by the United States. Why does the same administration which castigates Israel over building houses in Jerusalem have nothing to say when Pakistan's leader openly endorses a terrorist group?
How is that not an obstacle to peace?
