: One person was seriously injured when a suicide bomber aged around 10 blew herself up in a New Year’s Eve attack in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, witnesses and aid workers told AFP Sunday.
The girl approached a crowd buying noodles from a food vendor in the Customs area of the city around 9:30 pm on Saturday and detonated her explosives, they said.
Although no one has claimed responsibility the attack bore the hallmark of Boko Haram Islamists who are notorious for using suicide bombers, mostly women and young girls, in attacking civilian targets.
Obama Inc. fought tooth and nail to avoid classifying Boko Haram as a terror group whose atrocities would lead to our response. Only the kidnapping of the girls made enough headlines to temporarily change that. This atrocity was part of a strong of Muslim terror attacks targeting Christmas and New Year's celebrations. The pattern is quite clear. Though recognizing it would lead to charges of Islamophobia. Meanwhile the Islamic terror wave is using children as suicide bombers. And yet discussing what is truly going on is deemed as somehow worse.
This particular horror is not unprecedented. Islamic terrorists have used children as suicide bombers before. But Boko Haram, like its ISIS ally, is known for pushing the limit on horrific atrocities.
