This is the left's insane identity politics in action. George Ciccariello-Maher, a Drexel University associate prof of Global Studies took a break from stroking his mustache and appearing on prog TV to defend Venezuela to lay it all out on the line.
An admitted “actual communist,” the radical political theorist tweeted on Christmas Eve evening “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.”
According to his bio, Ciccariello-Maher “has taught radical theory and politics at Drexel, U.C. Berkeley, San Quentin State Prison, and the Venezuelan School of Planning in Caracas.” One review of his latest work, Building the Commune: Radical Democracy in Venezuela, says Ciccariello-Maher “reminds us of the extraordinary achievement of Venezuela’s communes in fostering direct democracy at the community and workplace scales.”
Is there any chance of deporting Ciccariello-Maher to Venezuela where the revolution can eat another of its tweeting children?
But the left has normalized racist insanity of this kind, whether by minority radicals or white radicals who call for their own extermination, and the media must take responsibility for normalizing the insane radicalism of the left.
