The media is obviously playing up the "fake news" angle. Though any country whose defense minister issues threats based on stuff he reads on the internet has big problems that censorship won't solve.
But more relevantly, we have the Pakistani Defense Minister issuing nuclear threats. While the world pretends that Israel is the problem, a Muslim country with nukes is casually tossing threats around.
The false story, circulated by AWDNews.com, reported that former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said he would nuke Pakistan if it sent ground troops to Syria to battle the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The fake news story was riddled with spelling errors and typos and named the former Defense minister instead of the sitting minister.
After the fake news report, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif tweeted, "Israeli def min threatens nuclear retaliation presuming pak role in Syria against Daesh.Israel forgets Pakistan is a Nuclear state too AH."
Maybe it's time to start viewing Pakistan's nuclear arsenal as another serious threat to world peace.
