Senator Sessions fought a long lonely battle against illegal immigration at a time when the GOP establishment was championing amnesty. He fought the release of drug dealers when the GOP establishment was eager to embrace sentencing reform.
Now he's in a key position to fight both.
Attorney General Sessions isn't just a nightmare for illegal alien advocates, for the pro-crime lobby and for Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and the rest of the gang. He's also a nightmare for Paul Ryan and the parts of the GOP gang that advocated amnesty and the euphemism known as sentencing reform.
It is now clearer than ever that they lost.
