Why. That's the obvious question.
Hillary Clinton lost. Not even bribing every single Democrat from the Tennessee dog catcher on up to support her with Qatari money would get her the nomination the next time around. There is simply no point to doing this. It's over. If the Clintons had any dignity they would retire to their New York manor and Bill would return to his hobbies of six figure bragging and sundry other activities. And Hillary would glare out at the neighborhood kids with an expression of pure rage before undergoing another illegal home renovation project to cover her house with gingerbread all the better to lure children into her oven.
Instead Hillary Clinton is on the phone with fundraisers trying to blame the FBI for almost catching her in one of the many crimes that she has committed.
Mrs. Clinton, on a conference call with some of her top fundraisers four days after her stunning loss to Donald Trump, said FBI DirectorJames Comey’s decision to alert Congress about what he described as fresh developments in the email case motivated the Republican nominee’s supporters and gave her rival a new argument to use against her on the trail, this person said.
“She felt that when Comey reopened it, it lit a fire” under Trump voters, said the person.
And she would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky FBI kids.
Maybe Hillary should have refrained from...
1. An illegal email server used to cover up her activities
2. Trying to drag out investigation of said server for as long as possible with obstructionist tactics so that it was still going by the time the election rolled around
3. Trying to blame law enforcement instead of herself for all of this
And there's no clear basis for concluding that the FBI letter was even an issue. The exit polls don't seem to say so, though they are less than reliable. But it's easier to blame the FBI than to take responsibility. And Clintons never take responsibility.
