This isn't quite the usual "faking numbers" scandal that breaks out routinely when it comes to the Warmunist industry. Instead it's both less bad and worse because it shows up the corruption inherent in the industry. It affects the numbers, but it's also about the basic core fraud behind the fraud. It's about money.
One of the world's leading institutes for researching the impact of global warming has repeatedly claimed credit for work done by rivals – and used it to win millions from the taxpayer.
An investigation by The Mail on Sunday also reveals that when the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) made a bid for more Government funds, it claimed it was responsible for work that was published before the organisation even existed.
Essentially the Centre, whose initials have a certain similarity to another prominent left-wing institution, had claimed to be making far more of an impact than it was. It's that 99 percent thing again.
It assumed that no one would check and so it assumed wrongly. Such actions are not unknown. And they are a reminder that what we are dealing with is not impartial science, but extremely partial agendas. Big Green is about money, power and influence.
Just ask Al Gore.
The science is secondary if not tertiary to personal agendas and political goals.
