Hillary Clinton has proposed putting Obama on the Supreme Court which is like suggesting that Jeffrey Dahmer open his own diner. But Obama would hate actually being on the Supreme Court. Here's why.
1. You can't get anything done unless you work together with other people
Obama can't work together with other people. He can't arrive at a consensus. He bullies, whines and smears until he gets his way. The utility of such tactics on the Supreme Court would be debatable. Barack Obama has bullied justices from the outside, but without executive authority, which he has abused ruthlessly, he would just be another black robe. And that would be incredibly frustrating for him.
2. He takes everything personally
To Obama, every disagreement is personal and even racial. But the Supreme Court is completely about disagreements. It's about being able to articulate your own reasoned viewpoint and show why the other person is wrong. Obama has never been able to do this. Instead all of his rhetoric comes down to, "I'm a good person and they're bad people". That's not a legal argument. It's a personal one.
Barack Obama is just not a logical thinker. He's great at generating memes, but he doesn't understand abstract ideas. He reduces everything to the personal level in classical narcissistic fashion. Either you're for him or against him. Either you want his glorious leftist utopia or you're on the wrong side of history. There is no middle ground and ideas aren't valued for their own sake.
3. Obama isn't interested in the law
Despite his background, Obama has no interest in process. He's all about outcome. His abuse of executive orders and disregard for democracy stems from that leftist mindset that the ends always justify the means. But the Supreme Court is about process. Leftist justices have frequently found shortcuts with outcome-based arguments (to hell with the law, this is the right thing to do), including some very dubious ones, but ultimately being there requires a great deal of interest in the machinery of the law. Obama just does not do process and the Supreme Court is all about process. Once he exhausts his extremely overrated skills of persuasion, he'll hit a wall at SCOTUS.
4. It's not a celebrity gig
Obama loves campaign. He likes being famous and ordered. He loves the posh parties and crowds of D.C. insiders lining up to kiss his ass. That's not what being on the Supreme Court is like. There are still plenty of parties and speaking tours, but any Supreme Court justice is one in a crowd. The celebrity power is much weaker and so is the level of public interest.
5. It's boring
Obama bores easily. He imagines that he's too smart for every job he ever had. Including his current one. The Supreme Court is supposed to be a lifetime gig. If Hillary did appoint Obama to the SCOTUS, he would get bored and drop out within a few years, after the first gush of secondary fame had faded. Unable to get his way, he would burn out and do the voting present thing that he did back in Illinois.
