29 Wounded by Pipe Bomb in Manhattan

Two years ago it would be a simpler rundown of suspects, but now in addition to Islamic terrorists, we have Black Lives Matter terrorists active as well. So we don't for the moment know who the culprit is.

Twenty-nine people were injured after an explosion occurred in a Manhattan trash bin Saturday evening, a blast that the mayor said has not been linked to terrorism but which appears to have been an "intentional act."

None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, but one could be characterized as serious, officials said. The explosion on West 23rd Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in Chelsea was reported at around 8:30 p.m.

Investigators found a "possible secondary device" a few blocks away at 27th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the New York Police Department said on Twitter shortly after 11 p.m.

In New Jersey earlier Saturday, a device consisting of three pipe bombs exploded in Seaside Heights along the planned route of a 5K Marines charity race. No one was hurt. The explosive device was placed in a trash can in that incident, NBC New York reported.

We have the usual official disavowals of a terror link but there really is too little to go on at this point. It could be Islamic terrorism or Black Lives Matter terror. Or it could be the revival of Puerto Rican nationalist terrorism. While that doesn't seem likely, especially as they have official support these days, but it does fit their pattern of attacks somewhat closer.
