I commend O for his unusual restraint. He didn't even say the word "Muslim" or bring the Khan-dashians up on stage. So this is very restrained by his usual standards. Though of course we did get his usual lecture about "giving in to fear".
In lefty-speak this means actually fighting terrorists instead of appeasing them. Destroying the enemy means giving in to fear. This is the same condescending lecture we always get from O.
Then there's this.

So, instead, they've tried to terrorize in the hopes that they can stoke enough fear that we turn on each other... we know that our diversity -- our patchwork heritage -- is not a weakness; it is still, and always will be, one of our greatest strengths."
Diversity when guided toward a common purpose with certain common values can indeed be a strength. Diversity for the sake of diversity, which is the liberal creed, is however destructive. A diversity that includes the "lone wolves" he mentions is our greatest weakness.
